Daniel Radcliffe is attractive.

First of all, I just want to point out that it has been forever since I've updated this... and I've been trying to come up with things to talk about just so I can update this. Now I have finally come up with something!

I'm currently reading Forever (Book three in the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy) by Maggie Stiefvater. Yes, I did read the first two, Shiver and Linger.

The first two books were fantastic and I definitely recommend them if you haven't read them. If you enjoy werewolves, and amazing love stories, this is the series for you!

Anyway, I'm currently half way done with the last book, and I just want to say that it is still amazing. Usually in the last book of a series, everything goes down hill. So far, this book is still good. However, as I said, I'm only half way done with it. I highly doubt this book is not going to be good, though.

Once I have completed Forever, I will begin reading The Woman in Black.

Yes, The Woman in Black. As in the movie starring (the amazingly handsome) Daniel Radcliffe that comes out February 3. It was a book first. I know this because the book came out in 1983... and it has been a play in the UK for the past twenty years (Yes, it took twenty years for it to get to America. It's kind of depressing, isn't it?).

I want to read it and then go watch the movie. Because books are almost always better than movies. Unless of course, the movie is starring Daniel Radcliffe (who is very attractive).

Oh, and I don't care what you think: Daniel Radcliffe is a very attractive man. Seriously, just look at him.

Friday the 13th

In just a few days we will see the first Friday the 13th of the new year. I just want to take a second to point out that there are three Friday the 13's this year. Three. Don't you think it's a little strange, that in the year 2012 (the year the world is supposedly going to end) there are three Friday the 13's. I think this is rather strange. So, I want to talk about this interesting superstition a little bit.

Paraskevidekatriaphobics: The fear of Friday the 13th (Yes, it's a real thing). Suffer from this? So do 17 to 20 million people in the United States.

Friday the 13 can happen at least once and up to three times a year (as is the case this year. With it landing in January, April and July). It's very rarely that it happens more than three times a year.

There is no known origin for this superstition, but there are many different theories such as; 12 is the number of completeness, and if there are 13 guests at a dinner, one will die by the end of the year (At the Last Supper, there were exactly thirteen people, and by the end of the year Christ was crucified. The crucifixion itself took place on a Friday).

Now that we have had a brief history lesson, I have one question:
Do you believe in Friday the 13th?

Whether you believe or not, I advise you to stay away from ladders, black cats, glass, and salt. Actually, just avoid everything, just stay in bed. Who knows, maybe getting out of bed is going to set something in motion, ultimately causing you to get hit with bad luck for the rest of your life (Final Destination, anyone?).

Please, please, I implore you. Be cautious this Friday the 13th.

Happy New Year!

So, I know this is a little late, but this is first chance I've had to sit down and write anything.

New Year's Eve, I went over to my friends house and we had a party. We watched movies, played some games, ate great food. It was awesome. We stayed up until almost five thirty in the morning... I slept until almost one in the afternoon. I just want to say right now, that I have never slept in that late in my whole life. Seriously. It was weird to wake up in the afternoon. I didn't get home until almost seven thirty yesterday, and once I was home I sat around with my parents and watched TV.

So, yes. This is the first moment where I'm not doing anything else. I want to take this moment to talk about my new years resolutions (I didn't give them much thought... actually I didn't think about them at all).

1. Lose weight. This is a resolution I have every year. This year I'm actually going to try and lose some weight. I'm not saying that I'm fat or anything, but I would like to lose a little bit.

2. Get a job. Mainly because I need the money... and I'm eighteen years old. I feel like I need a job.

3. Go to more concerts. I went to two concerts last year. That's the most I've ever been to in one year. This year I want to go to twice that, at least. With Warped Tour being the main one. I've never been before, and I think this is the perfect year to go. Also: Meet Alex Gaskarth, and hug him.

4. Write more. Maybe I'll write a book or something...

5. Live through 2012. I don't want to die on December 21, 2012. I mean, who does?

So, what are your New Year's Resolutions? I bet they're better than mine. I just came up with mine right now, as I was typing them. Maybe next year I'll take some time to think about it a little more... Maybe that should be another one of my resolutions...

Christmas

Merry Christmas!

I want to take a moment and talk about the presents I got this year:

1. Socks. Yea, socks. I'm actually okay with this. I needed new socks anyway...

2. Laptop Sleeve. I'm okay with this too. It's what I wanted. I already knew my mom was getting it for me, because I was standing there when she ordered it...

3. Slippers. Okay, so I wanted new slippers because my other pair was completely destroyed.

4. Lotions. Who doesn't like to get lotion? And it smells good. I'm very happy with this.

5. $25 gift card to Alco. Okay, now this is probably the worst gift ever. HOW DO YOU SPEND $25 IN ALCO? If you have never heard of Alco, don't look it up. It's the worst store in the history of stores... Even despite it being the worst store ever, I managed to spend $12 of my gift card. I bought a new mouse for my laptop and some nail polish.

6. Candy. Who doesn't love candy. Seriously? Best. Gift. Ever.

All in all, I want to be disappointed in the gifts I got this year, but I can't. Last year was a great year for Christmas. I got a laptop last year! My parents have been on a tight budget this year, so I knew that I wasn't going to get much. So, yea. I'm thankful and happy with what I got. At least I got something at all.

So, that's that. This afternoon my dad is going to cook up a nice Christmas dinner for just us. The food is going to be great, and I can't wait. I hope you all have a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve Eve.

Tonight is the Night Before Christmas Eve, and I feel like I still have a few important things to talk about before Christmas:

Number one: We had our first Snow Day on Tuesday. It was great, but because we missed school, we had to go all day Wednesday to finish finals. I actually enjoyed it, because I only had one final left for Wednesday. Everything else was just a party. The start to my Christmas break was amazing.

Number two: Because I have a bunch of free time, I've been spending it writing. I really want to get some stuff finished so I can move on and work on all the new ideas that I have. It's nice not having to worry about school work. I can spend all my time and energy on writing.

Number three: I finished Girl with the Dragon Tattoo the other day. It was actually a really good book. I never saw the ending coming (Okay, maybe I did, but that's beside the point). Now, I'm moving on to Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I've only read about eight chapters so far, but I really like where it's headed. I let you know how I feel about it when it's finished.

Number four: Okay, there is no number four... So, I guess that's where we end things. Adios!

Useless Information

My Christmas present arrived last week. It was shipped December 7, and arrived at my Grandma's house on December 10. When I found out that it was in already I almost had a heart attack. It's awesome. I always love getting new All Time Low things. I know have two shirts, a nightgown, a wallet, and the tour book from them. As well as all their CDs. I swear, I'm not obsessed... Oh, and speaking of All Time Low, Alex Gaskarth's birthday was Wednesday! He turned 24. It was a great day.

In other news: Finals started yesterday. I already took my Government and Psychology finals. All I have left is English, Advanced Biology (which are both on Monday), and Spanish (on Wednesday). I have some other classes, but I don't have a real final in them. In my Yearbook class, we're going to our teaches house and having breakfast (That's my last final. It's always nice to end the semester with breakfast). I can't wait for this semester to be over. I need a break.

Another thing: I think I may have become obsessed with tumblr. I stayed up until almost two in the morning last night, because I was on tumblr. It's probably my new favorite website ever. Even better than facebook, or twitter. If you haven't already, check it out. You don't know what you are missing.

Last but not least, I want to talk about reading for a second. Currently I'm reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I'm about halfway through it, and I have to say that it's really good. I want to get it finished and then see the movie. I have the rest of the books in the series, too. And I plan on reading all of them. When I get them read, I'll let you know what I thought. So, I'm off to read.

...and we meet again.

I've kind of been putting this off for a while, but I finally decided I needed to sit down and write this. So, that's what I'm doing.

First of all, I'm happy to announce that I got my senior necklace in the mail today. It's sparkly and awesome. I never want to take it off. What I don't understand is why it came in a huge package. Seriously. This package is huge, and a tiny little necklace was all that was inside. They couldn't send it in something a little smaller? The package didn't even fit in the mailbox... I don't understand people sometimes.

Another happy announcement: My Grandma ordered my Christmas present Thursday when I got home from school. The order won't ship until Wednesday because the items are on pre-order. I plan on getting my stuff by the end of next week. It usually doesn't take very long for stuff to get here. I'm getting an All Time Low shirt and nightgown. They're awesome. I can't wait to get them, so I can wear them all the time. I love my Grandma. She always buys me what I want.

One last thing: My parents went away this weekend. They went to the Blizzard Bash in Topeka. They left Friday morning and weren't back until late last night. It was just me and my brother by ourselves all weekend. It was great. I managed to get a lot of writing done. I feel so acomplished. Anyway, when they got back they brought us stuff. A mohawk head band that lights up, and then a ball that lights up when you squeeze it. I couldn't stop playing with the stuff. I seem to be fascinated by things that light up...

Well, that's about all I wanted to talk about. I'm sure next time we meet, I'll have more not-so-important announcements for you. So, stay tuned.
